AdventHealth is seeking an experienced RN for the Endoscopy department in Calhoun, GA. You will participate in patient assessments, prep for procedures, IV starts, and meticulous handoffs to surgery, ensuring safety and compliance throughout care.

The role emphasizes communication with the care team, patient education, and adherence to policy, with potential salary progression through the Clinical Ladder program.

Qualifications

• RN with Associate's degree required.
• BSN preferred.
• 1+ years experience in Med-Surgical, Surgical, or endoscopy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnoses with patient and team.
• Identifies expected outcomes based on diagnoses.
• Communicates with patients, families, physicians, and staff.
• Educates patients on procedures and safety.
• Assists with patient prep for surgery and IV starts.
• Ensures accurate handoff to/from surgery and consent verification.
• Develops care plans with patient/family input.
• Implements and documents interventions from care plans.
• Evaluates progress and revises plans as needed.
• Administers medications in compliance with policy.
• Demonstrates competence with surgical equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.
