Job summary

CHI LakeWood Health in Baudette, MN is seeking an Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver compassionate, high-quality care, perform assessments, and implement patient care plans within an interdisciplinary team.

You will provide chemo and non-chemo infusions, manage ports and catheters, and support surgical patients from pre-op through post-op, while educating patients and families on managing cardiac or pulmonary conditions. This rural hospital role emphasizes urgency, accuracy, and collaboration.

Qualifications

• RN license in Minnesota (MN) required.
• CPR certification mandatory.
• ACLS certification within 12 months.
• Oncology Nursing certification within 12 months preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for patients undergoing chemo and non-chemo infusions and injections
• Maintains and provides care of ports and catheters used for infusions
• Delivery of quality surgical nursing care to the adult, adolescent, pediatric, and geriatric surgical patient utilizing the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation)
• Comprehensive care of the surgical patient during the pre-op, intra-op and immediate postoperative course for the patient
• Providing group and/or individual education/training to cardiac and/or pulmonary patients (and family members) to enable them to bring their cardiac and/or pulmonary disease under control, avoid potential complications, and bring about lasting improvements in quality of life
• Assess patient needs and develop an individualized education plan of care to facilitate the development and application of needed skills to positively impact cardiac and/or pulmonary disease management

• Oncology Certified Nurse, within 12 - months

Preferred

• Two to three years of recent acute care work experience
