Job summary

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for patients undergoing chemo and non-chemo infusions and injections
• Maintains and provides care of ports and catheters used for infusions
• Delivery of quality surgical nursing care to adult, adolescent, pediatric, and geriatric patients
• Comprehensive care of the surgical patient during pre-, intra-, and postoperative periods
• Educate patients and families to manage cardiac and pulmonary disease and improve quality of life
• Assess patient needs and develop individualized education plans for skills development in cardiac/pulmonary care

• Provide professional nursing care for patients undergoing chemo and non-chemo infusions and injections
• Maintains and provides care of ports and catheters used for infusions
• Delivery of quality surgical nursing care to the adult, adolescent, pediatric, and geriatric surgical patient utilizing the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation)
• Comprehensive care of the surgical patient during the pre-op, intra-op and immediate postoperative course for the patient
• Providing group and/or individual education/training to cardiac and/or pulmonary patients (and family members) to enable them to bring their cardiac and/or pulmonary disease under control, avoid potential complications, and bring about lasting improvements in quality of life
• Assess patient needs and develop an individualized education plan of care to facilitate the development and application of needed skills to positively impact cardiac and/or pulmonary disease management
