Job summary

Johns Hopkins Medicine-Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, D.C. is seeking a Palliative RN for the outpatient unit. You will work 8-hour day shifts, full-time, with no weekend requirements, delivering specialized palliative nursing care in a high-quality setting.

Required DC RN licensure, accred. RN degree, and 6 months acute care experience; ED experience is a plus. Chemo/bio–therapy certification preferred or obtainable within 1 year; CPR is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as an RN in DC and graduate from an accredited RN program.
• Chemo/bio–Therapy Certification preferred or obtainable within 1 year of hire.
• Minimum 6 months RN acute care experience; ED experience preferred.
• AHA CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide palliative outpatient nursing care.
• 8-hour day shifts; full-time 40 hours/week with no weekends.
• Collaborate with nurse leadership and care teams to deliver compassionate patient care.

With its 318 beds, this non-profit, full-service acute care hospital offers medical, surgical, intensive care, obstetric, oncology, orthopedic, skilled nursing inpatient services, and a 24-hour Emergency Department. Sibley’s campus is also home to Grand Oaks, an assisted living residence; a medical building with physician offices and ambulatory surgery and imaging centers; and the new patient tower with 200 spacious, private rooms.

Unit/Schedule:

• Palliative Outpatient
• Full-time 40 hours/week, benefitted, no weekends
• 8-hour Day shifts

Minimum Education and Experience:

• Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the District of Columbia
• Graduation from an accredited program for Registered Nurses
• Minimum of 6 months RN acute care experience. Preferred, 1 year ED experience or more.
• Chemo/bio–Therapy Certification preferred or obtain within 1 year of hire; fully paid for by Sibley Memorial Hospital.
• AHA CPR

Salary Range:

Minimum 43.25/hour - Maximum 67.04/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
