Job summary

Huntsville Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to uphold established standards of care and patient safety. You will assess patient needs, plan and delegate care, and evaluate responses to ensure progress toward expected outcomes.

You will be accountable for the care delivered during your shift, maintaining high-quality standards while collaborating with the care team in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Education required: Graduate of state board School of Nursing.
• License and certifications: Alabama or Multi-state Nursing License; BLS; ACLS/PALS/NRP as required for critical care.
• Experience: Experience preferred; new graduates accepted.
• Excellent communication and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Job description

Maintains established standards of care, policies, objective, and goals in administering professional nursing care to all patients. The RN identifies patient needs and priorities for care through assessment. The RN plans and delegates care based on patient needs. The RN evaluates the patient’s response to care and the attainment of or progress toward expected outcomes. The RN is accountable for outcomes of patient care delivered during the assigned shift.

Qualifications

Education required: Graduate of state board School of Nursing

License, certification and/or registration: Current Alabama or Multi-state Nursing License required. BLS for Healthcare Providers must be obtained in the orientation period. ACLS, PALS, or NRP is required for critical care areas based on patient population.

Experience: Experience preferred; new graduates accepted

Additional skills/abilities: Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently. Department specific competencies must be completed within the provisional period.
