Job summary

Banner – University Medical Center Tucson is seeking a registered nurse for the Surgical Observation unit in the West PACU to support patients transitioning from PACU to discharge. The role is full-time, day shift, 36 hours per week with a 7 AM–7:30 PM schedule.

Weekend and holiday rotations apply, with weekend and night differentials where applicable. External candidates may receive a $10,000 sign-on incentive.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience in acute care or surgical observation is implied.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for assigned patients.
• Coordinate and supervise care with the health care team.
• Document nursing care and patient responses accurately.
• Promote evidence-based practice and participate in unit leadership.
