Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions in St. Helena, CA seeks an experienced RN for outpatient surgery and endoscopy coverage. This in-office role requires CA RN license, BLS, ACLS, and 2 years of perioperative experience; EPIC charting is mandatory. Shift is day, 4x10s, Monday to Friday with occasional variation.

You will provide pre-op and PACU phase II care, collaborate with surgeons and staff, and support fast-paced turnover while maintaining patient safety and comfort in a scenic Napa Valley setting.

Qualifications

• Endoscopy experience required or strongly preferred.

• Proficient in pre-op and PACU Phase II workflows.

Responsibilities

Day Shift, 4 x 10s, M - F (rotating day off depending on schedule). Start time between 5:30 am and 11 am. (Varies slightly based on case volume. Must have endoscopy experience, CA RN license, BLS, ACLS, and 2 years' experience. Outpatient surgery, perioperative experience strongly preferred. Must be comfortable with pre-op and PACU phase II workflows. Experience with moderate sedation and rapid patient turnover is a plus. Fast-paced outpatient surgery and endoscopy environment. Pre-op open-heart patients and total joint patients. Must have EPIC experience.

Job Summary:

Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.

Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.

Job Requirements:

Education and Work Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred

Acute care facility experience: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required

Facility Specific License/Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required

Department Specific License/Certifications: AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS: Required

AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS: Required

Collaborates with the team of patient, family, and healthcare providers in providing patient care in a safe, healing, humane, and caring environment.

Provides learning opportunities for patients/family members and team members.

Directly provides health information to patients, families, and treatment team.

Participates in discharge planning in order to provide continuity of care.

Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members.

Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
