Job summary

Memorial Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Orthopedic Unit (4E) on a full-time night shift. The RN provides comprehensive care for patients undergoing elective and non-elective orthopedic surgeries and supports pain management, wound care, and discharge planning.

The role demands Illinois RN licensure, BLS/CPR certification, and the ability to move and care for adult patients. A $20,000 sign-on bonus is offered with a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Diploma of Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• RN license in the State of Illinois required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification per policy required.
• Must be able to position/transfer an average adult patient and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for designated patients on the Orthopedic Unit using the nursing process.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to unlicensed assistive personnel as appropriate.
• Participate in evidence-based practice and quality improvement activities.
• Support discharge planning and transitions to home or extended care facilities.
