Job summary

Duke University Health System—Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC seeks a Registered Nurse (NEW GRAD or Experienced RN) for all shifts on the 11 DCT Ortho/Musculoskeletal Trauma Step down Unit. The role emphasizes compassionate care and adherence to the DUHS Professional Practice model.

Responsibilities include providing and supervising total nursing care, using the nursing process, and engaging in professional development activities such as the clinical ladder, committees, and research

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical nursing experience (CNII) required.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (BSN or higher) required.
• Current NC State Board of Nursing license or compact license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide and supervise total nursing care using the nursing process to achieve patient goals.
• Deliver patient-centered care and follow the DUHS Professional Practice model.
• Participate in the clinical ladder program, departmental committees, and research projects as assigned.
