Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital in Cleveland, OH is seeking an experienced RN for the 4 West Tower Complex Medical Care unit. The role provides direct nursing care, monitors patient conditions, and coordinates care in a Level 2 trauma environment with night shifts 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m., every other weekend and holiday rotation.

Minimum qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program, active RN license, BLS certification, and at least one year of acute care experience; BSN

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ADN, BSN).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the AHA or Red Cross.
• One year of acute care RN experience OR military RN experience.
• BSN is preferred.

Hillcrest Hospital’s 4 West Tower Complex Medical Care unitprovidesorthopaedicsurgery, neurosurgery, and trauma services to adult and geriatric patientsrequiringmedical, surgical, and telemetry care.Heart conditions, vascular and neurological diseases, and congestive heart failure are just a few of this unit’s clinical specialties, but as a Level 2 trauma unit, caregivers can also gain valuable trauma experience and skills in a fast-paced environment. As an RN in this unit, you will help ensure patients have the care they need quickly. All the while, your fellow caregivers will assist you, offering a cohesive, encouraging and constructive front to enhance the patient's experience and your skills as a nurse.

A caregiver in this position works from nights from 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m. with every other weekend and holiday rotation requirements.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing(Diploma, ADN, BSN)

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
• One year of current acute care RN experience OR military RN experience

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN)

Physical Requirements:

• Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
• Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
• Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
• Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
• Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
• Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $35.50

Maximum hourly: $55.60
