Job summary

Saint Joseph Mercy Health System 5 East Orthopedic unit in Ann Arbor is seeking an experienced RN for the night shift. The unit handles total knee and hip replacements, hip fracture care, and general orthopedic patients within a 32-bed Med/Surg setting.

Full-time and part-time positions with every other weekend and holiday requirements; BSN preferred and Michigan RN license required. ACLS/BLS per department needs, and strong communication in a team-based care environment are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a nursing program eligible to sit NCLEX and obtain RN license.
• BSN preferred.
• Current Michigan RN license.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS required for Float Pool, Cardiac/Cath Lab, AICU, Emergency departments.

Responsibilities

• Gathers and analyzes patient information.
• Develops, implements, evaluates and revises an individualized plan of care.
• Uses teach back method to educate patient and family.
• Seeks to prevent potential hospital-acquired conditions.
• Communicates patient status, priority goals and interventions during consultations, rounds and handoffs.
• Follows HIPAA policies and procedures.
• Upholds the Mission, Vision and Values of St. Joseph Mercy Hospitals.
