Job summary

Owensboro Health Regional Hospital is seeking a licensed RN to provide direct patient care in the Orthopedics & Neurology department, following established policies and protocols.

You will implement and monitor care plans, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, educate patients and families, and assist with discharge planning in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Requires KY RN license and BLS; Bachelor's degree within five years.

Qualifications

• RN license in Kentucky required upon hire.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing must be completed within five years of employment.
• BLS certification required within 45 days of employment.
• No prior experience required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct nursing care following policies and protocols.
• Implements and monitors patient care plans.
• Monitors and communicates patient condition.
• Serves as primary coordinator of multidisciplinary care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Coordinates discharge planning with patient and family.
• Educates patients and families based on age and learning needs.
• Performs duties in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act.
