Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System in Boise, ID, seeks Registered Nurses to join the Ortho Med/Surg Unit (5N). This 24-bed unit cares for surgical patients and ED admissions, with patients often recovering from injuries and coexisting conditions.

Self Schedule: Full Time, three 12-hour night shifts per week, 7pm–7am, rotating weekends. You will provide professional nursing care in collaboration with the health care team, use resources to promote physical, spiritual, and emotional well-being, and

Qualifications

• Current RN license required.
• Multistate licenses must establish residency with the Idaho Board of Nursing within 60 days from hire.
• Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required at hire. (ACLS and/or PALS may be accepted in lieu of BLS)

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care in collaboration with members of the health care team in the ongoing assessment, planning and treatment of patients and families.
• Utilizes resources wisely while promoting physical, spiritual, and emotional well-being.
• In addition to providing hands-on nursing care, works and serves in a broad range of capacities including delegation, assessment, planning of care and treatment, teaching of the patient and the patient’s family.
