Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System in Boise is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Ortho Med/Surg Unit (5N). This 24-bed unit cares for surgical patients and ED admissions, with patients often recovering from injuries.

You will provide professional nursing care, collaborate with the health care team, and participate in assessment, planning, and teaching of patients and families. A current RN license and BLS are required; ACLS/PALS may be accepted.

Qualifications

• Current RN license required.
• Multistate license must establish Idaho residency within 60 days of hire.
• BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross required; ACLS/PALS may be accepted in lieu of BLS.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in collaboration with the health care team, including ongoing assessment, planning and treatment of patients and families.
• Utilize resources to promote physical, spiritual, and emotional well-being.
• Perform delegation, assessment, care planning and patient/family teaching as part of the nursing role.
