Job summary

Join the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD as a Registered Nurse in the Neuro/Ortho/Spine team. This dynamic surgical unit features 14 adult ORs and focuses on high-acuity procedures, trauma, neurosurgery, orthopedic and spine surgeries, plus transplant cases.

The RN will provide perioperative care and collaborate with top surgeons and interdisciplinary teams to ensure excellent patient outcomes. We offer rotating 12-hour shifts, 40 hours per week, with no call shifts and

Qualifications

• Active RN license and BLS CPR certification required.
• Experience in perioperative or operating room settings preferred.
• Associate degree in Nursing required; BSN/MSN in progress considered within 4 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care on a fast-paced surgical unit.
• Collaborate with surgeons and inter-disciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Support rotating 12-hour shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays.

This dynamic surgical unit features 14 adult ORs and specializes in high-acuity procedures, including trauma, neurosurgery, orthopedic and spine surgeries, as well as abdominal and allograft transplantations (kidney, liver, pancreas, and hand). As a Level 1 Regional Trauma Center, our environment is fast-paced, collaborative, and focused on excellence in patient care. The RN will play a critical role in perioperative care, working alongside leading surgeons and interdisciplinary teams to deliver top-tier surgical outcomes. Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing required
• Applicants with an Associate’s degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program may be considered, provided they are enrolled in an accredited BSN/MSN program within 1 year of hire and complete the degree within 4 years of hire
• Active Maryland or Compact RN license is required
• BLS CPR certification required
• RN work experience required; OR RN experience preferred

Salary Range

Minimum 39.64/hour - Maximum 61.45/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
