Job summary

Mercy in Wisconsin is seeking nurses for a year-long Nurse Residency Program, focused on the specialty area in which you are hired. You will participate in a 12-hour night shift schedule (7pm-7am) with weekend rotations, and both full-time and part-time positions are available.

New grads may receive a 5,000 sign-on bonus for night shifts, with larger bonuses for increasing RN experience, plus education assistance, loan forgiveness, and relocation support.

Qualifications

• Graduate or upcoming graduate of an accredited registered nursing program.
• Current RN license in hiring state or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains accountability for care provided to assigned patients.
• Evaluates overall effectiveness of care by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of information.
• Operates in alignment with Mercy mission, values, and standards.
