Job summary

Cool Springs Surgery Center in Franklin, TN is seeking an RN Circulator to oversee the surgical care of patients in collaboration with the care team. You will monitor patients throughout the surgical process and manage equipment, lines, drains and catheters, providing poised support in emergencies.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, active RN licensure, CPR and ACLS certifications, and a minimum of 2 years’ OR experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with an active RN license.
• CPR and ACLS certification is required.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in the operating room.

Responsibilities

• Monitors patient throughout the surgical process.
• Manages monitoring equipment, lines, tubes, drains and catheters as needed.
• Assists in emergency situations with sound nursing judgment.
• Maintains CPR/PALS/ACLS certification as required.
• Makes independent clinical nursing decisions and communicates needs to the team.
• Demonstrates team collaboration and efficient use of time.

Description

Job Title:RN Circulator

Registered Nurse who assumes responsibility and accountability through the nursing process, for the surgical care of the Center patient in collaboration with other health care providers.

Responsibilities:

• Monitors patient throughout the surgical process.
• Manages monitoring equipment, fluid lines, tubes, drains and catheters as needed, including support of operative extremity.
• Uses good judgement in determining appropriate nursing action and exhibits control in emergency situations.
• Successfully completes CPR/PALS/ACLS certification/recertification.
• Makes independent clinical decisions as appropriate regarding patient's need for nursing care and communicates same to appropriate personnel.
• Demonstrates a team player attitude and utilized work time efficiently.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing; current state RN license.
• CPR and ACLS required.
• Minimum 2 years in the OR
