Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking an experienced RN for the OR in Pasadena, TX. This 13-week assignment requires a minimum of 1 year of OR experience, with on-site day shifts from 06:30 to 19:00 and 12-hour shifts. Responsibilities include supporting a multi‑specialty OR with robotic and laparoscopic procedures and participating in on-call coverage.

Qualifications

Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Orthopedics, general surgery, urology, and gynecology.

Description:The position involves working in a multi‑specialty operating room.The unit has 10 beds and a team of 54 staff members.Day shift staffing includes 1 CNC, 7 RNs, 10 CSTs, 3-4 FAs, 4 PCTs, 2 anesthesia techs, 1 supervisor, and 1 director.Night shift staffing consists of on‑call only.The patient ratio is 1:1.The unit utilizes multi‑specialty equipment and is transitioning from EMR Meditech to Expanse.Typical procedures performed in this unit include open, laparoscopic, and robotic general surgeries such as appendectomies, cholecystectomies, and some bariatric cases.Robotic orthopedic procedures include total knee and hip surgeries as well as trauma orthopedic cases.Other laparoscopic and robotic procedures include hysterecties, tubal ligations, and emergent interventions.Ideal candidates are team players willing to assist and keep the day moving.Candidates should have initiative and drive.On‑call duties are required, including weekly responsibilities and one weekend a month.
