Job summary

Richmond University Medical Center in New York is seeking a skilled registered nurse for a 12-hour day shift. The role uses the nursing process to plan, implement, direct and evaluate patient care, and requires collaboration with all disciplines on the unit.

Requirements include NY RN licensure, BSN, BLS/ACLS/PALS, NIHSS-TCAR within 6 months, 2–3 years’ scrub and circulate in major surgical cases, and prior OR experience.

Qualifications

• Current registration in New York State as an RN.
• BSN required.
• 2–3 years' experience scrubbing and circulating in major surgical cases.
• Previous OR experience required.
• NIHSS-TCAR within 6 months of hire.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Uses the Nursing process to plan, implement, direct and evaluate patient care.
• Collaborates with all disciplines on the assigned unit.
• Days shift with weekend and holiday coverage; 11:00 a.m. – 11:30 p.m.
• Maintains excellent organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
