Description:Clinical Interview - Manager Final Review.Level III Trauma Center with 145 beds.Total of 16 beds; Main OR: 10, OR North: 6.Patient types include pediatric to adult.Pediatric Neuro procedures include cranies and vaults.Adult Neuro procedures include cranies, external ventricular drains, shunts, and bolts.Trauma, Vascular, Surgical Oncology (Whipple), General Surgery, Urology, GYN, Thoracic, Robotics, ENT, Ortho, Ortho Trauma, Podiatry, Dental, Plastics, Breasts are performed.If the position is for OR North, the focus will be on Ortho, GYN, general procedures, breasts, plastics, ENT, dental, spinal cord stimulator, and DaVinci XI/DV5.CVOR cases are performed, but working in that area is not required.Patient ratios 1:1.Experience circulating and with the above cases is required.The most critical areas of experience are Robotics, Neuro, and Trauma.IV starts and scrub experience are preferred.Experience with ortho/trauma and neuro (spinal fusions, craniotomies) is required.Support on the unit includes charge nurses who do not take assignments, CSTs, FAs, surgeons, and anesthesia techs.Preferred experience with EMR systems and medication dispensing systems.Ability to work with Robotics independently is required.Floating is expected between Main OR and OR North (within the same facility).Weekend rotation includes call only.Both RNs and CSTs are required to work 1 weekend per month and one overnight call shift per week.Response time for on-call shifts is 30 minutes.Schedule is made one month at a time, and requests for time off go through management.Trading call is allowed but discouraged to sell call to other staff members.Procedural scrubs are provided.Fast-paced environment.
