Description:Hiring process includes profile review and an interview with the unit manager.Candidates must submit their driver's license.Clinicians should be in-state for the week of orientation even if some initial training is remote.The unit has 4 operating rooms and 1 GI endoscopy room.The average number of cases per day is 10.Common cases include robot/laparoscopic cholecystectomy, hernia repairs, appendectomies, basic orthopedic, gynecological, and podiatry procedures.Charge Nurse and House Supervisor roles are available, but this position will not require working in those roles.Each case is staffed with at least 1 operating room tech and 1 first assistant.The charting system used is Epic.Shifts are from 0630 to 1500, Monday through Friday, with required evening and weekend on-call duties.Call shifts during the week are from 1500 to 0700, while weekend call shifts are from 0700 to 0700.Most staff take both Saturday and Sunday off together, but this is not mandatory.Response time for on-call duties is 30 minutes.There is no floating outside of the operating room; however, staff may float within specific zones in extreme circumstances.Scrub color is ceil blue, which is provided.An orientation checklist is available for contract staff to ensure they are comfortable with unit-specific procedures.The hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts during the assignment period.Position is in an acute care setting.
