Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking an experienced RN for Operating Room assignments in Illinois. This 13-week contract features a standard 8-hour shift, Monday through Friday, with a busy OR schedule and support from a day supervisor. The unit comprises five operating suites and two procedure rooms with 20–30 cases daily.

Experience in scrubbing and EPIC charting is highly valued. A current RN license is required; BLS is preferred while ACLS is optional.

• Must have scrubbing experience and EPIC knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Scrub in on general, orthopedic, gynecologic, podiatry, endoscopy and ophthalmology cases in the OR.
• Adhere to call schedule with a 30-minute response time.
• Self-schedule shifts; follow hospital dress code and OR protocols.
• Document patient care and use EPIC for charting.

Description: Local clinicians will apply to shift assignments. There is a call-off policy in place that allows for flexibility. Non-billable orientation hours will not be included in the guaranteed hours. The unit consists of five operating suites and two procedure rooms. The average number of cases per day ranges from 20 to 30. The most common cases include general surgery, orthopedic surgery, gynecology, podiatry, endoscopy, and ophthalmology. A supervisor is present during the day shift who does not typically take an assignment. A house supervisor is available when call begins. Operating room technicians are present to assist. Self-scheduling is permitted for shifts. Call requirements follow a specific schedule during the week and weekends. There is no floating between units required. The dress code includes hospital-provided scrubs. Unit-specific orientation will be conducted as necessary. The charting system used is EPIC. A BSN is not required for this position. Call response time is set at 30 minutes. There are no holiday call requirements.
