Description:This position is for an Operating Room Registered Nurse.The unit includes four operating suites.The average number of cases per day is 10 to 20.Common cases include general surgery, breast surgery, orthopedic total joints (no spine), urology, gynecology, and robotics.Charge nurse and house supervisor responsibilities may be included.Nurses may float to Endoscopy if experienced.Shifts are rotating 10 hours in length.Self-scheduling is not allowed.Typically, there is no call for travelers due to an innovative team structure.Weekend call is limited, with a backup schedule that is rotated among staff.The required charting system is EPIC.Unit-specific orientation will be provided for 2 to 3 days.A cancellation policy is in place for four shifts per 13-week assignment.
