Cynet HealthStaff is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room for a 13-week assignment. The role involves delivering collaborative perioperative nursing care and supporting the surgical team in a fast-paced environment.
The RN must hold a California license and have at least 1 year of OR experience, with BLS, ACLS, and PALS. Shifts are days, 10 hours each, with full perioperative responsibilities.

Description:The RN renders collaborative nursing care according to defined nursing standards of care and practice.The RN promotes the health potential of patients through the implementation of the nursing process.Demonstrates the ability to delegate appropriately and direct staff in the coordination and delivery of care.Assumes responsibility for the appropriate utilization of care resources.Demonstrates positive interpersonal relationships with others in problem resolution.Sensitive to the needs of patients, families, and fellow employees.
Reports directly to the Director of Nursing in Perioperative Services.May receive direction from the Coordinator of Surgery/Anesthesia/CSP.Collaborates with all members of the healthcare team in the coordination of patient care.Delegates and directs assigned shift caseload team, which may include RNs and Surgical Technicians.In the absence of the Coordinator, takes daily direction from an assigned Shift Charge RN.
This position includes tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues.Interprets the appropriate life span needs of patients.Provides appropriate population-based care as per the department skills checklist.Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development across the life span.
Qualifications:Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.BSN or BA preferred.Possesses analytical skills necessary to prioritize workload and prepare nursing care plans.Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Word.Ability to learn software programs applicable to patient care and operations processes.Must be able to understand, read, and write English clearly.
