Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking a Registered Nurse to work in the Operating Room on a 13-week assignment in Bellevue, NE. The role supports orthopedic, general, endoscopic procedures in a teaching hospital environment with 6 ORs and 15-20 cases per day. Day shifts, 12-hour shifts, and a requirement of 2 years experience, RN license, and BLS.

Candidates must be willing for holiday and weekend call (5-6 shifts per month). Local candidates are not accepted; must live more than 100 miles away.

Description:Candidates must be comfortable with orthopedic cases.Holiday and weekend call is required (5-6 shifts per month).No overnight shifts; weekend shifts are call only.The operating room consists of 6 rooms, handling 15-20 cases per day.It is expected that all staff help precept and orient new staff and travelers.Experience in labor and delivery, gynecology, plastics, podiatry, robotics, and urology is preferred.Self-scheduling is managed by the operating room lead; call is self-sign up.Floating to other units is a possibility.Scrubs will be provided by the facility.It is a 718 acute-care bed facility providing care to complex patients from various specialties.This facility is a teaching hospital affiliated with a prominent medical college, benefiting patients through research and education.Local candidates are not accepted; candidates must live more than 100 miles from the facility.Travelers will only be paid call-back if they are on-call offsite and called back after the shift has ended.Travelers are not paid the same as core staff, as their compensation policies differ.Required skills include a wide variety of surgical procedures and understanding of infection control and safety protocols.Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.Daily case numbers are estimated between 15-20.Interdisciplinary support services are available, including interpretation, radiology, and pharmacy.
