Job summary

AdventHealth in Tarpon Springs, FL, seeks an experienced nurse leader to oversee nursing operations, staffing, and patient care coordination. The role emphasizes collaboration with hospital leaders to manage resources, improve patient outcomes, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Required RN licensure with at least 2+ years in leadership roles and 2+ years in Operating Room staff nursing. This full-time position includes benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• RN license is required.
• Associate degree in Nursing is required.
• Bachelor's in Nursing and Master’s in Nursing are preferred.
• Minimum 2+ years leadership experience as an assistant nurse manager or nurse manager or equivalent (e.g. CN3/CN4).
• Minimum 2+ years staff nurse experience in Operating Room.

Responsibilities

• Rounds and assesses patient care units to evaluate patient conditions and staffing.
• Advises and directs nursing personnel and responds to Code Blue situations.
• Manages bed assignments and cost-effective use of equipment and supplies.
• Represents nursing administration during off-shifts and approves admissions.
• Acts as incident commander for disasters and guides leadership during major events.
• Coordinates with hospital leadership to align patient care during significant events.
• Fosters compassionate communication and strong relationships with patients, visitors, staff and leadership.

Job Description

$10,000 sign on bonus for qualified candidates

Rounds and assesses patient care units to evaluate patient conditions, identify staffing needs, and provide support to caregivers.

Advises and directs nursing personnel, responds to Code Blue situations, and manages clinical emergencies.

Acts as liaison for patient movement and bed assignments, promoting cost-effective management of staffing, equipment, and supplies.

Represents nursing administration during off-shifts, authorizes consent or treatment during admissions, and serves as incident commander for disasters.

Provides direction and collaborates with hospital leadership during significant events, including organizational codes and system downtimes.

Fosters exceptional patient experiences through compassionate communication and effective relationships with patients, visitors, staff, and leadership.

Licenses and Certifications
