General Overview:

Provides professional nursing care within the perioperative setting for patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Coordinates supplies, instrumentation, and equipment for pre and intraoperative care, ensuring proper functioning. (25%)
• Performs circulating functions, monitoring and communicating patient conditions, and managing overall nursing care before, during, and after procedures. (25%)
• Acts as a patient advocate, documenting care in compliance with hospital, departmental, and regulatory standards. (25%)
• Monitors the surgical environment to ensure aseptic techniques are followed. (25%)

Qualifications:

Minimum:

• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Clearance
• Current PA RN license or multi-state license via eNLC
• CPR certification

• OR experience
