Position Overview:

Provides professional nursing care within the perioperative setting to patients undergoing operative or invasive procedures.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Coordinates supplies, instrumentation, and equipment for preoperative and intraoperative care, ensuring functionality. (25%)
• Performs circulating functions, including monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition; manages overall nursing care before, during, and after procedures. (25%)
• Acts as patient advocate, documenting preoperative and intraoperative care in compliance with hospital, departmental, and regulatory standards. (25%)
• Monitors the surgical environment to ensure aseptic technique is maintained by the surgical team. (25%)

Qualifications:

Minimum:

• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance
• Current PA RN license or multi-state license through eNLC
• CPR certification

Preferred:

• OR experience
