Position Overview:

Provides professional nursing care within the perioperative setting for patients undergoing operative or invasive procedures.

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Coordinates supplies, instrumentation, and equipment for pre and intraoperative care, ensuring proper functioning. (25%)
2. Performs circulating functions: monitoring, recording, and communicating patient conditions, managing overall nursing care before, during, and after procedures. (25%)
3. Acts as patient advocate, documenting preoperative and intraoperative care in compliance with hospital, departmental, and regulatory standards. (25%)
4. Monitors the surgical environment to ensure aseptic technique is followed by the surgical team. (25%)

Qualifications:

Minimum:

• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Clearance
• Current PA RN license or multi-state license via eNLC
• CPR certification

Preferred:

• OR experience
