Job summary

Scotland Health Care System is seeking a full-time OR Surgical Nurse at Scotland Memorial Hospital in Laurinburg, NC. You will provide skilled patient care in the surgery room, supervise staff, and ensure adherence to safety and documentation protocols.

Qualified candidates hold an NC or Multistate RN license, ACLS, and a nursing degree from an accredited program. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential in this role within a community-focused health system.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in NC or Multistate required.
• ACLS certification required or obtainable.
• Graduate of accredited nursing program with GI/Endoscopy exposure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stay current with best practices in endoscopy and gastroenterology nursing.
• Ensure proper technique and standards are followed during procedures.
• Supervise staff in the room and assist as needed.
• Verify patient identity, chart accuracy, and report changes in condition.
• Confirm consent forms are signed and accurate before procedures.
• Ensure proper body alignment and room setup before procedures.
• Maintain supplies and equipment; complete checks before use.
• Document care and charges accurately; assist with specimen handling.
