Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking an RN for the Oncology Unit in Arlington Heights, IL to join a night-shift team. The role requires an Associate's degree or BSN and active Illinois nursing licensure, plus CPR certification. Night shifts run 7:00pm–7:30am with every other weekend.

Benefits and incentive pay are included for eligible positions. This is a full-time opportunity with the potential for part-time arrangements depending on staffing.

Qualifications

• License: Current Illinois nursing license to practice.
• Certification: Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessment and collect health data from patients and families.
• Coordinate patient care plans to ensure safe, timely interventions.
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and healthcare teams in person, by phone, and in writing.
• Educate patients and families based on thorough assessments and learning needs.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to evaluate nursing practice.
• Maintain knowledge of current nursing standards, laws, and regulations.

Hourly Pay Range:

$36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

• Endeavor Health is currently conducting a comprehensive review of our compensation structure. The new minimum for this role will be adjusted to $37.25 base pay hourly rate beginning with the second paycheck in October.

• Location: Arlington Heights, IL
• Full time/Part time: Full Time: 36 hours per week
• Hours: 7:00pm - 7:30am (Night shift), Every other weekend
• Required Travel: No

What you will do:

• Provides patient assessment and collection of health data involving patient, family and other health care providers.
• Coordinates patient plan of care to assure interventions are consistent, safe, timely and appropriate.
• Communicates clearly and effectively with all customers, in person, on the phone and in writing.
• Individualizes patient and family teaching based on a thorough assessment to meet their specific learning needs.
• Participates in evaluating quality and effectiveness of nursing practice by participating in quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintains professional knowledge in current nursing practice standards, laws and regulations.

What you will need:

• Education: Successful completion of an Associate's degree or BSN from an accredited school of nursing
• License: Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Illinois
• Certification: Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association
