Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Neurology Unit on day shifts in Northwest Community Hospital, Arlington Heights, IL. This full-time role offers a 36-hour work week with 7:00am-7:30pm shifts and every-other-weekend coverage.

• Current Illinois nursing license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient assessment and collection of health data.
• Coordinates patient plan of care for safe, timely interventions.
• Communicates clearly with patients and families in multiple formats.
• Educates patients and families based on assessment results.
• Participates in evaluating nursing practice and quality initiatives.
• Keeps knowledge up-to-date with nursing standards and regulations.

Hourly Pay Range:

$36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

• Endeavor Health is currently conducting a comprehensive review of our compensation structure. The new minimum for this role will be adjusted to $37.25 base pay hourly rate beginning with the second paycheck in October.

Position Highlights:

• Position: Registered Nurse -Neurology Unit- Days
• Location: Northwest Community Hospital - Arlington Heights, IL
• Full Time, 36 hours/week
• Hours: 7:00am-7:30pm Every other weekend
• Required Travel: No

What you will do:

• Provides patient assessment and collection of health data involving patient, family and other health care providers.
• Coordinates patient plan of care to assure interventions are consistent, safe, timely and appropriate.
• Communicates clearly and effectively with all customers, in person, on the phone and in writing.
• Individualizes patient and family teaching based on a thorough assessment to meet their specific learning needs.
• Participates in evaluating quality and effectiveness of nursing practice by participating in quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintains professional knowledge in current nursing practice standards, laws and regulations.

What you will need:

• Successful completion of an Associate's degree or BSN from an accredited school of nursing
• Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Illinois
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association
