Job summary

Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, IN is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Oncology Unit (2A). This full-time role is 36 hours per week, night shift from 7pm to 7am, with benefit eligibility and a sign-on bonus for experienced external applicants.

The RN will provide direct comprehensive nursing care from admission to discharge, collaborate with the on-shift team, and support chemotherapy and oncology-specific workflows in a 10-bed med/surg environment. New graduates welcome.

Qualifications

• Current Indiana or compact state RN license.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider required.
• Chemo Certification required (obtained within 12 months of hire).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct comprehensive nursing care from admission to discharge.
• Act as an on-shift team member delivering direct patient care to meet patient, family, and coworker needs.

Job Duties:

In this role, the RN will be responsible and accountable for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge. The Registered Nurse will function as an on-shift team member providing direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers.

About the Unit:

The Oncology Unit, also known as 2A, is a 10-bed unit that provides care to Chemotherapy/Cancer Support/Hospice/Telemetry/Post-Op patients. Nurses have the opportunity to build their skill set in a med/surg atmosphere while also developing specialty skills related to chemotherapy and oncology care.New Graduate LPNs and RNs are welcome.
