Job summary

Medasource is seeking a registered nurse to join the 6th Floor Med-Surg/Oncology unit in Independence, Missouri. You will care for Med-Surg/Oncology/Hospice patients and monitor stable cardiac patients, with a 12/14 start date and no on-call requirement.

The team includes RNs, LPNs, PCTs and unit secretaries. Expect every other weekend, no call, with a 36-bed unit and common procedures like wound vac changes, drain removals, IV/PICC lines, Foley and NG insertions.

Unit Specifics:

• Number of Beds :36
• Patient Ratios :1:6
• Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) :Utilize Clinical Care Coordinators, RNs, LPNs, PCTs, Unit secretary
• Type of equipment :I-med, I-mobile, Neurons (vitals machine), Glucometer,PCA, Wound vac, Chest Tubes, Surgical Drains
• Documentation system: meditech
• Scheduling requirements: Every other weekend.
• Patient Type: Med Surg/Oncology/ Hospice patients, Also accept hemodynamically stable patients requiring cardiac monitoring with no interventions
