Cynet Health in Tyler, TX is seeking an experienced RN – Oncology to administer chemotherapy and immunotherapy in an outpatient setting. You will be part of an interdisciplinary team delivering comprehensive cancer care and supporting patients and families throughout treatment.

Requirements include an active State or Compact RN license, BLS, chemotherapy certifications (ONS/ONCC) and OCN, 2 years of oncology experience preferred.

Formación

• Active RN license in State or Compact required.
• BLS certification required.
• ONS/ONCC chemotherapy and/or immunotherapy credentials.
• 2 years oncology experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Administer chemotherapy and immunotherapy.
• Monitor chemotherapy side effects and manage nausea/vomiting.
• Perform blood draws and port access as needed.
• Educate patients and families; handle spills safely.

Description:The role requires working in an outpatient setting.You will be responsible for administering chemotherapy and immunotherapy.Patient diagnoses include all cancer diagnoses, as well as hematology malignant and non-malignant conditions.Previous charge experience is preferred.Experience with charting systems is required.Knowledge of accessing and managing ports and performing blood draws is essential.You should be proficient in handling chemotherapy spills and managing acute tumor lysis syndrome.Skills needed include administering blood and blood products, coagulation factors, and chemotherapy.You will provide patient and family education and support.Monitoring chemotherapy side effects and managing nausea and vomiting are critical responsibilities.Experience with specific cancers such as melanoma, lung cancer, breast cancer, and others is important.Ability to recognize and communicate abnormal lab values is crucial.You will be part of an interdisciplinary team, providing comprehensive patient care.
