Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse specializing in Oncology to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality patient care, advocate for patient wellbeing, and demonstrate robust clinical skills in oncology nursing.
Responsibilities
- Administer chemotherapy and other treatments as prescribed.
- Provide care for patients requiring blood product transfusions.
- Perform central line and mediport access and lab draws.
- Conduct CHG baths and change central line dressings.
- Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families regarding treatment options and care procedures.
Required Experience & Certifications & Licensure
- Active Texas RN License (Temp License is NOT accepted)
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in oncology nursing.
- Experience with mediports, PICCs, and central lines required.
- BLS certification is mandatory.
- Chemotherapy Certification is preferred.
- Experience with Meditech documentation is preferred.
