Job summary

Origin Travel Nurses in Lansing, Michigan, is seeking a dedicated Infusion RN for a 13-week contract position at our oncology infusion center. The ideal candidate will have expertise in administering chemotherapy and immunotherapy and should demonstrate a compassionate approach to patient care.

The role involves monitoring patient reactions during infusions, educating families about treatment, and documenting all patient interactions. We provide an array of employee benefits to support our nursing team.

Qualifications

• Must have ONS chemotherapy and immunotherapy certification.
• Required to hold BLS certification.
• A year of relevant nursing experience is preferred.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Infusion RN to provide exceptional patient care in our oncology infusion center. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and biotherapy while maintaining adherence to safety protocols and delivering compassionate support to patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, blood products, and supportive oncology care.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions during infusions and provide appropriate interventions.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and side effects management.
• Perform lab draws and manage central lines, including PICC and implanted ports.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment protocols using the Epic system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• ONS chemotherapy and immunotherapy certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• 1 year of relevant nursing experience, preferably in oncology.
• Epic experience preferred; Beacon experience is a plus.
