Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a dedicated Oncology Registered Nurse for an Infusion Center assignment. The 13-week contract involves administering chemotherapy, blood products, and supportive care in a dynamic oncology setting connected with urgent care for patient assessments.

The role requires 2+ years oncology/infusion experience, MD or Compact RN license, BLS and chemotherapy certifications, and EPIC charting proficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years oncology/infusion experience.
• Active RN license in MD or a Compact License.
• Current BLS and Chemotherapy (ONS/ONCC) certifications.
• EPIC charting experience required.
• Charge experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy and immunotherapy infusions.
• Provide blood transfusions and assist with lumbar punctures and intrathecal chemotherapy.
• Monitor patients for side effects and adverse reactions during treatments.
• Educate patients and families about treatment options and side effects.
• Perform vital sign checks and manage patient care during sessions.
• Ensure compliance with safety and infection control procedures.

Shift: 4x10 Days, 07:00 AM to 05:30 PM

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Oncology Registered Nurse to join our Infusion Center team. This role involves the administration of chemotherapy, blood products, and supportive care treatments to oncology patients, including those with hematologic malignancies and solid tumors. The nurse will work in a dynamic setting connected to oncology urgent care for additional patient assessments.

Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy and immunotherapy infusions.
• Provide blood transfusions and assist with lumbar punctures and intrathecal chemotherapy.
• Monitor patients for side effects and adverse reactions during treatments.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment options and side effects.
• Perform vital sign checks and manage patient care throughout treatment sessions.
• Ensure compliance with safety and infection control procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of oncology/infusion experience.
• Active RN license in MD or a Compact License.
• Current certifications in BLS and Chemotherapy (ONS/ONCC) required.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is mandatory.
• Previous charge experience preferred.
