Zusammenfassung

Texas Health Mansfield is seeking an obstetric nursing professional for part-time night shifts to assist with newborn care and obstetric assessments. The role focuses on immediate newborn care, resuscitation readiness, and accurate documentation within a supportive team environment.

Required RN licensure with BLS and NRP; Associate degree in Nursing is mandatory, Bachelor’s degree preferred. Prior OB/ED/postpartum experience is desirable; 2300 Lonestar Rd, Mansfield, TX 76063.

Qualifikationen

• Assist with newborn care during deliveries and after delivery.
• Maintain skills in neonatal resuscitation for emergencies.
• Assess high- and low-risk obstetrical patients to identify issues.
• Report maternal and newborn problems to physicians promptly.

Job Description:

• Assist with newborn care at deliveries, providing immediate care and support to newborns during and after delivery.
• Maintain skills in neonatal resuscitation to respond effectively in emergencies.
• Demonstrate assessment skills in high and low-risk obstetrical patients to identify potential risks and health issues.
• Identify and report maternal and newborn problems to the physician promptly.
• Assist with the transfer of newborns to other facilities when indicated, ensuring safe and efficient transfers.
• Accurately identify and band newborns, mothers, and significant others to prevent mix-ups.
• Document all care activities accurately, including band identification numbers in medical records.

Education:

• Associate's of Nursing [Required]
• Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

Work Experience:

• 1+ OB ED, labor and delivery or postpartum nursing experience [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) [Required]
• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
• Neonatal Med Certification (NEONATAL MED) [Preferred]
