Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System in Idaho is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Women’s & Children’s Obstetric Float Pool. You’ll provide care across Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and NICU settings, serving mothers, newborns, and families throughout southern Idaho and eastern Oregon.

You’ll practice at our Boise, Nampa, and Ontario campuses, gaining diverse experience with varying acuity while enjoying clinical autonomy and a mission‑driven work environment.

Qualifications

• Idaho or multistate RN license required; Idaho license within 60 days if multistate license held.
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience preferred.
• Willing to obtain Oregon RN license within 90 days of start date.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification to be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Willing to obtain PALS, STABLE and NCC-EFM within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to mothers and newborns across Labor & Delivery, Postpartum and NICU units.
• Perform comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessments to guide individualized care.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate care plans that promote positive outcomes and patient-centered care.
• Administer medications and treatments safely, monitoring progress and adjusting as needed.
• Educate patients and families to support recovery and successful transitions of care.
• Collaborate with physicians and other care team members to deliver coordinated care.
• Document patient status and care plans clearly and timely in the medical record.
