Saint Alphonsus Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Women's & Children's Float Pool. You will care for mothers and newborns across Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and NICU settings in multiple hospitals across Idaho and Oregon.

You’ll collaborate with top teams at our Boise Level II Trauma Center (Level III NICU) and other campuses, gaining diverse clinical experience while growing professionally. A structured onboarding supports your transition and ongoing development.

Competenze

• Idaho or multistate RN license required; Idaho license within 60 days if multistate.
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience.
• Willing to obtain Oregon RN license within 90 days of start date.
• Current BLS certification.
• Willing to obtain ACLS for HealthCare Provider within 6 months.
• Willing to obtain NRP within 6 months.
• Willing to obtain PALS, STABLE and NCC-EFM within one year.

You have built a strong clinical practice and are looking for an opportunity to expand your impact. As an experienced nurse in our Obstetric Float Pool, you'll provide care across southwestern Idaho and eastern Oregon in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and NICU settings, making a meaningful difference for mothers, newborns, and families during some of life's most significant moments.

You'll practice alongside highly skilled teams at our Boise, Idaho Level II Trauma Center with a Level III NICU, our Nampa, Idaho Level III Trauma Center with a Level II NICU, and our Ontario, Oregon campus, gaining valuable experience across diverse clinical environments and varying levels of maternal and neonatal acuity. This role offers the clinical variety, professional autonomy, and sense of purpose that experienced nurses seek, empowering you to grow your expertise while making a meaningful difference for mothers, newborns, families, and the communities we serve.

What to expect

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care while serving as an advocate for both patients and families.
• Expand your clinical expertise by caring for a diverse patient population across multiple specialties and units.
• Perform comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessments to guide individualized patient care.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate care plans that promote exceptional outcomes and patient-centered care.
• Administer medications and treatments safely while monitoring patient progress and responding to changing needs.
• Educate patients and families to support recovery, wellness, and successful transitions of care.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and fellow caregivers to deliver coordinated care.
• Communicate patient status and care plans effectively through both verbal handoffs and clinical documentation.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.
• Utilize clinical equipment and technology safely and effectively to support patient care.

Qualifications

• You currently hold an Idaho or multistate RN license. If youhold amultistate license, you are required to obtain your Idaho license within 60 days.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery preferred.
• You are willing to obtain an RN license in the state of Oregon within 90 days of start date.
• You have your Basic Life Support (BLS)
• You are willing to obtain your Advance Cardiovascular Life Support for HealthCare Provider (ACLS) certification and NRP within 6 months of hire
• You are willing to obtain PALS, STABLE and NCC-EFM certifications within one year of hire date
