Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions is seeking an experienced RN to provide dedicated nursing care in a Observation/Progressive Care Unit (PCU). The role involves assessing patients, monitoring cardiac status, coordinating with the care team, and educating patients and families about treatments and discharge instructions.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license with BLS, ACLS as required, and 1–2 years of PCU/telemetry or acute care experience, including cardiac monitoring.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• BLS certification required.
• 1–2 years of PCU/telemetry/acute care experience preferred.
• Experience caring for cardiac patients with continuous monitoring preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patients for changes in condition, vitals, rhythms, and status.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and other prescribed interventions safely.
• Respond promptly to clinical changes and emergencies.
• Coordinate patient care with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Educate patients and families about treatment, recovery, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate documentation following infection control and safety standards.

Provides nursing care to patients in an Observation/Progressive Care Unit (PCU), including patients requiring close monitoring and treatment for acute or changing conditions. Performs assessments, administers treatments, monitors patient status, and coordinates care with the healthcare team.

Education & Experience:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.
• 1–2 years of PCU, telemetry, observation, medical-surgical, or acute care experience preferred.
• Experience caring for patients requiring cardiac and continuous monitoring is preferred.

Licenses & Certifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required or preferred based on facility requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and continuously monitor patients for changes in condition, vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and clinical status.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
