The Wayne General Hospital staff RN is a professional caregiver who provides nursing care to patients across the age spectrum, from newborn to geriatric. The RN demonstrates quality and respect in interactions with staff, physicians, patients and families, aligning with the unit's mission and values.
OB/Nursery experience is preferred. NRP within one year; ACLS within six months with recerts every two years; CPR within three months with recerts every two years are required to ensure readiness
The staff RN is a professional caregiver who provides nursing care to patients, assessing, monitoring and evaluating the patient’s response to nursing interventions. The staff RN provides care for patients from the age of newborn to geriatric. The RN demonstrates performance consistent with the mission, values and guiding principles of the unit and Wayne General Hospital; remains flexible to changing systems; is expected to demonstrate quality and effectiveness in work habits; treats staff, physician, patients and families with consideration and respect. Meets specific departmental competency criteria.
OB/Nursery: Recent acute OB and newborn experience preferred. NRP certified within one year and maintained. ACLS required within 6 months of hire and maintained every 2 years. CPR required within 3 months of employment, and maintained every 2 years.
