Elderwood at Cheektowaga is seeking a Nursing Supervisor (RN) to join our clinical leadership team. Your leadership will help guide clinical operations and support nursing teams within our skilled nursing and rehabilitation community.

As Nursing Supervisor, you will oversee nursing care delivery during your assigned shift, respond to clinical and operational needs, and help ensure exceptional resident care and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Active state RN or LPN license required.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year in leadership.
• Interest or experience in geriatrics.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Experience with dementia population desirable.
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking) at an intermediate or advanced level.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing care services and personnel across units.
• Conduct rounds and provide clinical support to staff.
• Monitor resident conditions and communicate changes.
• Assist with admissions, care planning, and oversight.
• Support safe medication administration and treatment delivery.
• Coordinate staffing and adjust assignments.
• Provide coaching and feedback to nursing staff.
• Ensure documentation and workflows are completed correctly.
• Participate in shift communications and updates.
• Promote collaborative, respectful team environment.
• Maintain compliance with CMS standards and nursing regulations.
• Support infection prevention and facility safety initiatives.
• Assist with incident response and survey readiness.
• Participate in QAPI and performance improvement.

• Assist with admissions, evaluations, care planning, and resident oversight.
• Support safe medication administration and treatment delivery.
• Assist with staffing coordination and assignment adjustments.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and support to nursing staff.
• Ensure documentation, workflows, and assignments are completed appropriately.
• Participate in shift‑to‑shift communication and operational updates.
