Job summary
Elderwood Nursing & Rehabilitation is seeking a Nursing Supervisor (RN) to lead the shift, support the team, and ensure high-quality resident care in a skilled nursing setting.
The role requires a valid state RN license, 2+ years of nursing experience with 1+ year in leadership, and BLS/CPR certification. Dementia experience is a plus, with a pay rate in the stated range and comprehensive benefits.

This role plays a critical part in maintaining clinical excellence, supporting staff performance, and ensuring residents receive safe, compassionate, high-quality care. As Nursing Supervisor, you will:
- Oversee nursing operations during your assigned shift
- Support and supervise nursing staff across the facility
- Serve as a clinical resource and leader for nursing teams
- Help ensure quality resident care and regulatory compliance
- Assist with staffing coordination, problem-solving, and resident care oversight
- Partner closely with Unit Managers, DON leadership, providers, and interdisciplinary teams
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills

- Supervise nursing care services and nursing personnel across assigned units
- Conduct rounds and provide clinical support and guidance to staff
- Monitor resident conditions and ensure timely communication of changes
- Assist with admissions, evaluations, care planning, and resident oversight
- Support safe medication administration and treatment delivery
- Assist with staffing coordination and assignment adjustments
- Provide coaching, feedback, and support to nursing staff
- Ensure documentation, workflows, and assignments are completed appropriately
- Participate in shift-to-shift communication and operational updates
- Promote a collaborative, respectful, team-focused environment
- Help maintain compliance with facility policies, CMS standards, and nursing regulations
- Support infection prevention and facility safety initiatives
- Assist with incident response, emergency procedures, and survey readiness
- Participate in QAPI and performance improvement efforts
- Possession of a state license in applicable state you are performing work and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse
- Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience and at least one (1) year of experience in a nursing leadership role
- Interest or experience in geriatrics
- Current BLS/CPR
- Experience with dementia population desirable
- This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors.
