Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current registration with the State Board of Nursing.
• Experience in the nursing field; supervisory experience in long term care.

Responsibilities

• Verifies daily staffing and redistribution.
• Collaborates with charge nurses on resident care and staffing.
• Makes rounds to assess resident condition, especially critically ill.
• Ensures nursing care plans are followed for each resident.
• Performs medication passes and direct resident care as needed.
• Participates in resident care committee meetings.
• Reinforces training and orientation of nursing staff.
• Responds to emergencies throughout the shift.
• Maintains safe and sanitary environment for residents and staff.
• Ensures building security during evening/night hours per protocol.
• Reviews incident and investigation reports for accuracy.
• Monitors meal service and nutrition adequacy.
• Assists in Quality Improvement activities.
• Ensures high-quality service in a compassionate setting.
