Job summary

Gold Crest Care Center, Inc. in New York seeks an experienced RN Supervisor to oversee all aspects of operating a unit within a health care facility and supervise nursing staff.

Extensive clinical experience and prior administrative training are required to manage patient care and admissions effectively. The role involves leading weekly meetings, audits of admission charts, and liaison work with families, doctors, and departments, with on-call weekend/holiday duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must have current NY RN license.
• Must have experience in Long Term Care.
• Must have supervisory experience.
• Must have excellent leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee unit
• Assist with treatment and medication administration
• Admissions
• Attend and participate in weekly meetings
• Conduct daily audits of all new admission charts
• Serve as liaison between family, patient, doctor and other departments
• Investigate all incident reports and follow-up
• Participate in managing staff and assignments to ensure quality of care
• Participate and report on patient conditions in weekly risk meetings
• Participate in annual evaluations of staff
• Take on-call hours on weekends and holidays as assigned
