Job summary

Avalon Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a nursing leadership professional to support the Director of Nursing in coordinating daily activities of licensed and unlicensed staff. You will admit, discharge, and transfer patients, manage documentation, and ensure timely physician coordination.

The role requires RN licensure in Georgia, strong organizational skills, and the ability to communicate clearly with physicians, staff, and families.

Qualifications

• Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills.
• Effective and professional verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Director of Nursing in organizing and directing the day-to-day functions of the nursing staff.
• Admits, discharges and transfers patients as requested.
• Coordinates care planning and MDS process; participates in committee meetings as necessary.
• Maintains effective communication with attending physicians and coordinates patient transportation for appointments.
