Job summary

Avalon Health & Rehab in Newnan, GA is seeking a Weekend Supervisor RN to oversee day-to-day nursing staff activities during evenings and weekends. You will work closely with the Director of Nursing to coordinate admissions, discharges, and transfers, while ensuring accurate documentation and Medicare compliance.

Qualifications

• A Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, or a graduate of an approved RN program.
• Active RN License to practice in the State of Georgia.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Director of Nursing in organizing and directing the day-to-day functions of the licensed and unlicensed nursing staff.
• Admits, discharges and transfers patients as requested.
• Documentation and billing supplies used.
• Maintains effective lines of communication with attending physicians.
• Assists in coordinating the care planning/MDS process and committee meetings as necessary.
• Supervises unlicensed nursing staff and provides guidance as required.
• Reviews and responds to complaints/grievances related to the department.
