Job summary

Charleston in Las Vegas, NV is seeking an RN Supervisor for Day/NOC shifts to oversee daily nursing operations, ensure high-quality resident care, and enforce federal, state, and local standards as directed by the DON/ADON.

The role requires leading LVN/LPNs and CNAs, coordinating care, administering IVs, ensuring accurate documentation, maintaining licensure, and promoting safety and quality through ongoing staff training and QA activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited school.
• 2+ years supervisory experience; preferably in a long-term care facility.
• Knowledge and experience with PCC EHR software preferred; must maintain licensure.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day nursing activities during tour of duty.
• Coordinate and participate in resident care.
• Manage and administer IVs.
• Supervise, instruct and assist LVN/LPN Nurses, Treatment Nurses and CNAs in provision of care with prompt response to call signals.
• Make rounds and provide report.
• Perform skilled care assessments.
• Participate in orientation and on-going training of staff.
• Respond to and monitor care issues and changes in condition.
• Assist residents in achieving the highest practicable level of self-care, independence and well-being.
• Oversee staff; participate in disciplinary measures as needed.
• Assist physicians and other healthcare providers during visits and examinations.
• Communicate with physicians and health professionals regarding resident care and changes in condition.
• Coordinate preparation for new admissions and respond to medical emergencies.
